has appeared in two previous MTC productions. This production also marks Grant’s third collaboration with director Daniel Sullivan, having made her Broadway debut in Wendy Wasserstein’s An American Daughter, and subsequently starring opposite Neil Patrick Harris and Anne Heche in the MTC production of David Auburn’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play, Proof. Grant was last seen on Broadway in The Lyons, opposite Linda Lavin, and she played Sarah Brown in the most recent Broadway revival of Guys and Dolls, alongside Lauren Graham and Oliver Platt. Grant’s extensive Off-Broadway credits include the title role of Bette in The Marriage of Bette and Boo, The Beard of Avon (directed by Doug Hughes), Between Us (directed by Mark Brokaw at MTC), Radiant Baby (directed by George C. Wolfe at the Public Theater) and Summer of ’42. Regionally, she starred in Blithe Spirit (Williamstown Theatre Festival), Talley’s Folly, The Misanthrope and The Heidi Chronicles (all at the Berkshire Theatre Festival), Finian’s Rainbow and Applause. Her numerous television credits include “The Good Wife,” “The Carrie Diaries,” “Body of Proof,” “Royal Pains,” “White Collar,” “Rescue Me,” “Cold Case,” “Law & Order: Criminal Intent,” and recurring roles in “Damages,” “Parenthood” and “Pan Am.” Kate will next be seen as Courtney Townsend in the upcoming season of Amazon’s “Alpha House.” On film, she has appeared opposite Jake Gyllenhaal in Love and Other Drugs, and she played Diane Sawyer in Ron Howard’s critically-acclaimed Frost/Nixon. Other film credits include The Rebound, opposite Catherine Zeta-Jones, Paul Greengrass’s Academy Award-nominated United 93, When a Stranger Calls, Forgiven and Bill Condon’s Kinsey. Kate is a graduate of the Juilliard School’s Drama Division. An accomplished singer and pianist, she also holds a BA in English and Music Composition from the University of Pennsylvania. Kate was born in New Jersey and raised in Guilford, Connecticut.
