Lynne has been MTC’s artistic visionary and leader since 1972, creating work that has put the company at the forefront of the American theatre. She has accepted every major theatre award on behalf of the company. Directing: Melissa Ross’ Of Good Stock, Amanda Peet’s The Commons of Pensacola, Richard Greenberg’s Our Mother’s Brief Affair and The Assembled Parties (Tony nomination), Margaret Edson’s Wit (Tony nomination), Donald Margulies’ Collected Stories and The Loman Family Picnic, Charles Busch’s The Tale of the Allergist’s Wife (Tony nomination), Leslie Ayvazian’s Nine Armenians (Drama Desk nomination), Alan Ayckbourn’s Woman in Mind (Drama Desk nomination) and A Small Family Business and David Rudkin’s Ashes (Obie). Graduate of Bryn Mawr College, attended Yale School of Drama. Awards: Mr. Abbott, Margo Jones, Lucille Lortel and Lilly for Lifetime Achievement, Louis Auchincloss Prize, etc.
